• Laboratory analysis of suspect asbestos containing materials by polarized light microscopy (PLM) via New York State Department of Health methods 198.1 and 198.6 and the USEPA method EPA 600/M4/82/020.
• Laboratory analysis of asbestos air samples by NIOSH method 7400 utilizes phase contrast microscope (PCM)
