Testing Mechanics Corp. is approved by the NYSDOH Environmental Laboratory Approval Program (ELAP No. 11018) and rated proficient by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, Proficiency Analytical Testing Program (Lab No. 11783-001). We are licensed by the New York State Department of Labor (No. AC-99-370) and have personnel certified in New York and Connecticut.
In holding NYSDOH accreditation, Testing Mechanics Corp. is subject to on-site evaluation by the NYSDOH. The evaluation procedures of these agencies assure that all participating laboratories operate in a legal, safe and accurate manner. Testing Mechanics Corp. has time and time again performed well in these inspections, and has never lost accreditation.
These accreditations include our participation in proficiency testing programs with government agencies, round robin testing with other laboratories, the establishment and periodic review and necessary updating of a comprehensive Quality Assurance Manual, and a stringent Quality Assurance Program. A few of the aspects of the Quality Assurance Program, as mandated by law, include replicate analysis of 10 percent of all samples by a second analyst, duplicate analysis of one out of every 50 samples by the same analyst, and successful analysis of a Standard Material (provided by the NYSDOH) for every 100 samples analyzed.
